The current theme at Windsor Library is

Stone Age to Saxon

Come and see our oldest treasures

We have a mammoth's tusk on show as well as the delicate Saxon comb that you see on the website. There are many other artefacts that were found at the Wraysbury dig as well as Bronze Age swords and material from the Roman Villa at Cox Green. You can see items that were found in the river, including those that were thrown in as offerings to the Gods."

Windsor Library can be accessed from Bachelors Acre. The opening hours are:

  • Monday 9.30 - 5.00
  • Tuesday 9.30 - 8.00
  • Wednesday 2.00– 5.00
  • Thursday 9.30 - 5.00
  • Friday 9.30 - 7.00
  • Saturday 9.30 - 3.00
